“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”
Destined to be together, it took moving to the other side of the world to finally meet … at ballroom dancing classes in Melbourne, Australia! Within this very active social environment we not only discovered we used to live a short distance away from one another in South Africa, but we also shared many similar interests. A friendship developed where we greatly honed our communication skills during long conversations (phone companies loved us as calls were then charged by the minute!)
Walks beside a river, ballroom dancing (of course), tennis, gymnastics and ice skating (strictly as spectators for the latter two!) bring us much enjoyment which has been greatly enhanced whilst evolving our photographic skills.
Our mutual love of nature, especially rivers, creeks, streams and lakes, etc fill us with contentment and gratefulness as we spend time together drinking in the natural beauty. It clears our busy heads and gives us a much needed break from the treadmill of life to stroll alongside water, in fact water in any form of water will do!
Nothing is so breathtaking as a beautiful sunset on a balmy evening. Fleeting though they may be, constantly changing and evolving, we’ve become intentional about taking time out to admire and appreciate the spectacular heavenly beauty being painted across the skies for us to behold.
Family is vitally important. We have three daughters, Zelda, our eldest and twins, Lindy and Lisa. Each one is uniquely beautiful like their mum and wonderfully and fearfully made. They are a blessing to have around and bring much so much joy and laughter to family gatherings when we have so much fun grabbing the opportunity to explore our passion for cooking up a storm (particularly appreciated by our girls).
