Hello, and welcome to our blog! We're a wedding photography team based in Melbourne, Australia. We hope you grab a coffee (or tea if you prefer) and enjoy viewing our latest work, as well as getting a little peek into our lives...
Loving family. That’s what Anncilla and I saw when we met with Chanel, her husband (also named Mark), and their two boys at Ruffey Lake Park. The time had come to make some family photos and capture timeless memories of this precious age. As far as great clients go, Chanel and Mark would have to be right up there with the best! Before the photoshoot, Chanel was looking through her wardrobe and had all manner of activewear, just not much in the line of pretty summer dresses (can you tell she’s a busy working mum?!). So, as any great client would do, she went and purchased a NEW dress, just for the photoshoot!

The boys were wonderful! Watching them on swings and slides, climbing and clambering, and having a great time. Chanel and Mark in the background, encouraging and assisting, looking lovingly at their little boys busy growing into young men. This is what family should be. The swings were SO much fun that the boys didn’t even notice when Anncilla hung back to look after them and I snuck off with Chanel and Mark to get some couple portraits. And oh my goodness, did these two rock their couple portraits!! Mark’s steely model face and blank stare would give the guys in GQ a serious run for their money, yet he has the most amazing smile and often gazes so lovingly at his wife.

There was so much laughter and joy throughout the day! One of the moments that will stay with me for a long time was Chanel playing hide-and-seek with the boys and “someone” was busy peeking when they should have had their eyes closed… We’re so honoured that Chanel and Mark trusted us with capturing these precious, joyful moments for them and we look forward to spending time with them again.

In the next blog post, we’ll be showing some pictures of another family photo shoot…
Until then – have fun, stay safe and God bless!
Mark and Anncilla
xoxo
