A loving family

It was a joy and an honour to capture these precious memories, family photos to last a lifetime. Rewind slightly, and the last few years have been quite the whirlwind for Lauren & David. Engaged in 2018, married in 2019, and Lara arriving in March 2020 to join the family! As with most new parents, it’s clear as day to see how much Lauren & David love both each other, and their new little bundle of joy, Lara. And it just so happened that we photographed Lara on her 8 month birthday (is that a thing? No idea, but it is now!)

What a lovely and happy little bundle of joy Lara is. Even when it got close to her nap time near the end of the photoshoot, it was still easy to distract her with a toy and have her smile & giggle for us!! Though when mum or dad caught her attention is when the joy really exploded on her face, with a great big beaming smile. It was so beautiful to see the long loving looks exchanged between family members.

Always have a backup plan!

The original plan was to meet in a park, though with Melbourne it’s always a good idea to have a backup plan. In this case temperatures on the day were set to reach 35°C, rather warm for a little 8 month old. So it was decided to start the photoshoot at home and cover the essentials before moving to the park. Lauren, David & Lara made our work easy. They were relaxed, and happily tried our various crazy ideas for photos (lie down on the floor, stand half in the bushes, pick Lauren up David). By the time we were ready to head off to the local park the clouds above were spitting slightly. And no, none of us were game to take Lara out in what could become a downpour! We carried on with some more photos inside and few in the backyard, and still got a fair bit of variety.
