Royal Exhibition Building Engagement Shoot | Melbourne Wedding Photographer

So this engagement session at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne has been a long time coming. Like much of the world, Tammie & Mike had to battle their way through lockdowns, government restrictions, rescheduling and the notorious Melbourne weather. Well, Tammie’s organisational skills and attention to detail really helped out here, and she made it all look easy, handling it with aplomb! One thing we couldn’t control was the weather, and we were all watching the forecast closely. And whilst there was some rain earlier in the day, by evening time it was all clear with a beautiful sky!

Tammie & Mike were such naturals! They had such fantastic interaction with both each other and with us as photographers, an absolute dream couple to photograph. As we walked around Carlton Gardens there was much talking, joking, and good times to be had, together with just a few photos being captured…

Tammie has this certain elegance to her, that just comes out in the photos. She has a natural ability to hit the “looking down lightly” look every time without appearing to have her eyes closed. A superpower that’s surely adored by any photographer! She was even game for all the crazy ideas we came up with! And as for Mike, what a guy! He took a few minutes to warm, but oh wow, once he was comfortable, his funny side really shone! He had us all in stitches laughing, and we can certainly see why Tammie said yes!
